We loved the State Park in La Pine. The spots were beautiful and there were plenty of places to hike directly from the campground – it was great!

The mosquitos were out 24/7, but it was worth it to be in such a beautiful place right on the Dechutes River.

The big bummer was that we had a terrible cell connection. Kevin installed our cell booster and even though it was telling us that we should have a good connection, we didn’t! It was worst than dial up. Remember the days of loggin on to a web page and waiting, and waiting for the page to load? Well, that’s what we had. NOT GOOD when you need to work.

We are both working from the road. Kevin is a Salesforce.com administrator, and I am a graphic/web designer. We both REALLY need a good internet connection!

We spent LOTS of time in Sunriver at a great little coffee shop called Brewed Awakenings using their wifi so we could both get some work done.

The 9 days went by really quickly. We can already tell that we are going to enjoy staying in places longer (as long as we have a good cell connection!). We didn’t get a lot of time to play and Kevin didn’t get a chance to ride his mountain bike, which was NOT okay.

Kenzie had a great time Рshe loved the trails, and she especially loved the evening that I took her down to swim in the river! The river was moving pretty quickly, but she had a great time chasing a stick! All in all, it was a pretty good week that went by really quickly. If not for the crappy cell signal, it would have been GREAT!
